GHS Guidance Mission Statement

 

The mission of GREENSBORO HIGH SCHOOL’s comprehensive school counseling and guidance program is to prepare every student socially, academically, and emotionally for present and future challenges.  Students are provided with opportunities to gain an understanding of self and others, to participate in educational and occupational exploration, and to pursue career planning opportunities in an environment that is safe, caring, and encouraging.  The counselor works in collaborative partnerships with students, educators, parents, and community members to empower students to reach their highest level as productive members of society.

 

Transcript Requests

 

Records from Hale County Training School, Greensboro East, Greensboro West, and Sunshine are all located at Greensboro High School.  A transcript request from (can be downloaded from the form link above) must be submitted a week in advance to allow ample time for retrieval and processing.  Requests will not be processed until both the form and payment has been received: transcript-$10  and  school record - $50. No requests will be taken over the phone. 

 

 

Testing

Greensboro High School school code for ACT/SAT- 011-295

The ACT and SAT are both standardized test used for college admissions and scholarships.  Students should begin taking the ACT/SAT as early as the 9th grade to become familiar with the test and to obtain a starting score.  Students in grades 11 & 12 who receive free or reduced lunch can get 2 waivers for both tests.  Otherwise, they will have to pay the testing fee at the time of registration.
